Switchy vs RedirHub (2026): Retargeting, Branded Links & Best Fit
Switchy and RedirHub overlap on branded links, custom domains and analytics but serve different jobs. Switchy fits retargeting and campaign links; RedirHub fits domain and redirect estates.
We build RedirHub. We point out where Switchy is the better buy, and how to check against your own setup.
The short answer
Choose RedirHub if
- Domains, retired hostnames or website migrations are the main job
- You want automatic HTTPS, managed mappings, bulk operations and API access in one redirect workspace
Choose Switchy if
- Branded campaign links are the main job
- You want social-preview controls, UTM tooling, deep linking and marketing-oriented link optimization
Which product fits your job#
Retarget people who click campaign or social links
Retargeting pixels and social-preview customization are central to its product.
Improve mobile campaign links with app deep linking
Switchy documents deep links for more than 150 apps plus campaign-focused link controls.
Redirect retired domains or consolidate domains after a rebrand
Domain redirects, automatic HTTPS and whole-domain forwarding are core RedirHub jobs.
Migrate hundreds or thousands of old URLs to new destinations
Managed links, bulk CSV import/export and API access are designed for redirect estates and migration maps.
Run simple A/B traffic distribution across redirect destinations
RedirHub supports Random and Sequential multi-target routing.
Optimize campaign links with retargeting, metadata, geo controls and social tooling
Those engagement controls are much closer to Switchy's core use case.
The biggest difference: engagement layer vs redirect control plane#
Switchy's own help center frames the product around customizing, managing and tracking links to improve engagement and conversions.[1] Its workflow starts with a destination URL, then adds things such as retargeting pixels, UTMs, a branded domain, social metadata and campaign tracking.
That focus is still visible across Switchy's current official documentation. Its Chrome extension guide exposes retargeting pixels, UTM tags, branded domains, social-preview controls, deep linking, A/B testing, geolocation and other campaign options directly in the link-creation flow.
RedirHub starts from a different operating problem: what happens when a domain, hostname or old URL needs to keep sending traffic somewhere else reliably. Its current approved product facts cover domain redirects with automatic HTTPS, 301/302/307/308 redirects, whole-domain catch-all behavior, managed links, bulk import/export, REST API access, branded links, QR codes and redirect analytics.
Our call
If you are optimizing clicks before and after a social or paid campaign, Switchy is the more natural starting point.
If you are operating redirects as durable infrastructure across domains and migrations, RedirHub is the more natural fit.
Pricing and capacity are measured differently#
A clean dollar-for-dollar plan comparison is not responsible here. Switchy's current public pricing surface does not expose a stable set of numeric prices that we can confidently quote, so we recommend checking its current billing surface before buying.
Switchy's official plan-limits documentation does publish the shape of its plans:[2]
- Team 10,000 clicks/month, 2 custom domains, 2 Smartpages and 1 team member.
- Pro 50,000 clicks/month, 5 custom domains, 10 Smartpages and 10 team members.
- Business 100,000 clicks/month, 15 custom domains, 15 Smartpages and 15 team members.
Those limits tell you how Switchy thinks about capacity: campaign clicks, custom domains, Smartpages and team access.
RedirHub's current pricing uses two independent capacity pools instead:[3]
- Core $49/month for 25 domains and 2,500 managed links.
- Pro $119/month for 250 domains and 10,000 managed links.
- Domain capacity and managed-link capacity can be expanded independently.
A root domain configured with RedirHub's standard whole-domain behavior automatically covers its www variant without consuming a second domain slot. Other separately managed subdomains count separately.
That means the same word, domain, can represent a different buying unit in each product. Switchy's custom domains are primarily the branded domains used to publish marketing links. RedirHub's domain capacity is intended for redirect hostnames and domain-level routing, while individual migration mappings and branded links consume the separate managed-link allowance.

Count the actual marketing links, custom domains, redirect domains and migration mappings your workflow needs.
Switchy's advantage: campaign-link optimization#
Switchy has the stronger feature set when the link itself is part of a marketing optimization loop.
Its official docs support:
- retargeting pixels on links;
- editable social title, description and image;
- reusable UTM tracking;
- A/B testing / link rotation;
- geolocation and other advanced link controls;
- deep linking into supported mobile apps;
- branded custom domains.
For marketers sharing third-party content, affiliate destinations, marketplace pages or social links, retargeting is particularly distinctive. Switchy can add audience pixels even when the marketer does not control the destination website.
The product also extends beyond individual links. Its help center documents Smartpages and separate workspaces, which can be useful for agencies or teams separating customers and campaigns.
Our call
If your main question is "how do I make this campaign link convert better?", Switchy has the more specialized toolkit.
RedirHub's advantage: domain redirects and migrations#
Website migrations create a different problem. Instead of optimizing one campaign link, you may need to preserve hundreds or thousands of old URLs after a domain change, CMS migration or information-architecture rewrite.
RedirHub Core includes 2,500 managed links at $49/month. Those can be used for one-to-one old-to-new mappings, branded links and QR destinations. Bulk CSV import/export and the REST API reduce the amount of manual work when the mapping set grows.
For whole-domain changes, RedirHub also supports automatic HTTPS and catch-all routing. A single root-domain setup can cover the root plus its standard www variant when they share the same destination behavior.
Switchy's reviewed documentation is centered on creating and optimizing shortened marketing links. It does support bulk link import in batches of up to 500 links, and its API documentation documents default API limits of 100 links/hour and 1,500 links/day. Those are useful link-management capabilities, but they are not evidence that Switchy is designed as a website-migration control plane.
Our call
For an old-site-to-new-site migration map, start with RedirHub.
For a campaign-link library that needs pixels, social metadata and engagement controls, start with Switchy.
Custom domains serve different goals#
Both products can put links on domains you control.
Switchy documents both custom subdomains and root domains. Its custom-domain guide uses ANAME or ALIAS for a root domain, while its subdomain setup uses a CNAME pointing to Switchy.
The reason for adding the domain is normally branding: instead of publishing a generic short URL, a marketer can share something such as go.brand.com/campaign.
RedirHub can do branded links too, but custom domains also sit underneath domain forwarding, retired-domain handling and migration workflows. The hostname itself can be the redirect asset rather than just the presentation layer for a short link.
That distinction matters if you manage dozens or hundreds of domains. A marketing team may care about a small set of branded campaign domains. An IT or SEO team may instead be responsible for an entire portfolio of old domains that must all continue redirecting correctly.
What happens when Switchy reaches its click limit?#
Switchy's official click-limit documentation makes an important distinction between redirection and tracking.
When a workspace reaches its monthly click allowance, existing links continue redirecting, but tracking and retargeting stop and the workspace cannot create new links until the allowance resets or the plan is upgraded.
For a performance marketer, that is a meaningful buying consideration because the redirect still works while the data and audience-building layer is interrupted.
This is another reason not to compare the products only on "does the link redirect?" The operational value can live in what happens around that redirect.
A/B testing means different things#
Both products have an A/B-style capability, but they solve different versions of the problem.
Switchy presents A/B testing inside its campaign-link toolkit alongside retargeting, social customization and geolocation.
RedirHub Pro supports multiple redirect destinations using Random and Sequential routing. Random routing distributes traffic across configured destinations and can be used for straightforward A/B-style traffic splitting.
If you need audience pixels, rich campaign targeting or social-link optimization around the experiment, Switchy is the stronger fit. If you need simple traffic distribution inside a broader redirect estate, RedirHub's multi-target routing may be enough.
How to choose#
- Decide whether the thing you are managing is primarily a campaign link or a domain / redirect estate.
- For Switchy, count expected monthly clicks, custom domains, Smartpages and team members.
- For RedirHub, count redirect domains separately from individual managed links.
- If retargeting pixels, social previews, deep links or campaign metadata are central, test Switchy first.
- If automatic HTTPS, domain consolidation, retired domains or migration mappings are central, test RedirHub first.
- Run one representative real workflow before migrating a large set of links or domains.

No. Switchy's official positioning goes beyond shortening. It focuses on retargeting links, social-preview customization, campaign analytics, UTMs, deep linking and other engagement controls.
We do not quote a current Switchy dollar price because the public pricing surface we reviewed did not expose stable numeric prices. Its help center still publishes plan capacity limits, but buyers should check Switchy's current billing page for the price that applies now.
Yes. Switchy says existing links continue redirecting, but tracking and retargeting stop and you cannot create new links until the allowance resets or you upgrade.
Yes. Both products support custom domains. Switchy uses them for branded campaign links; RedirHub supports custom redirect domains, branded links and automatic HTTPS.
RedirHub is the more direct fit when the job is preserving old domains and mapping old URLs to new destinations. Switchy's documented workflow is centered on marketing-link creation and optimization rather than website migration infrastructure.
