RedirectBoss vs RedirHub (2026): Pricing, Migrations & Best Fit

RedirectBoss and RedirHub both offer hosted redirects; the real difference is what they meter. RedirectBoss prices by source URL, while RedirHub separates domain and managed-link capacity.

The short answer

Choose RedirHub if

  • You are managing a website migration with hundreds or thousands of changed-path mappings
  • You want domain and managed-link capacity to scale independently
  • You need team collaboration and SSO at RedirHub's published Pro pricing

Choose RedirectBoss if

  • You have a small redirect set
  • You want the lowest published entry price
  • Its detailed OAuth-scoped MCP workflow is particularly well matched to how your support or developer team operates

Pricing: compare the billing unit first#

RedirectBoss's current pricing[1] starts at $15/month for Personal with 25 redirects. Its FAQ defines a redirect as each unique source URL you configure, and says traffic does not increase that count.

The next published tiers are:

  • Business: $99/month for 100 redirects, then $1.50 per additional redirect.
  • Growth: $495/month for 500 redirects, then $1.00 per additional redirect.
  • Scale: $995/month for 1,500 redirects, then $0.50 per additional redirect.
  • 3,000+ redirects negotiated pricing, custom SLA and dedicated support.

All four listed tiers include 301/302/307/308 redirects, SSL, path forwarding, query forwarding, basic analytics, API access, MCP, QR codes and MFA. RedirectBoss also offers a 14-day trial and says a credit card is required.

RedirHub's current pricing[2] starts Core at $49/month with 25 domains and 2,500 managed links. Domain capacity and managed-link capacity expand independently. Core also includes unlimited requests, so redirect traffic is not the billing unit.

That difference is easiest to see with a migration where many old paths live under one source domain:

Changed-path migration workloadRedirectBossRedirHubPublished-price takeaway
25 source mappings on one domain$15/mo Personal$49/mo CoreRedirectBoss is $34/mo lower
100 source mappings on one domain$99/mo Business$49/mo CoreRedirHub is $50/mo lower
500 source mappings on one domain$495/mo Growth$49/mo CoreRedirHub is $446/mo lower
1,500 source mappings on one domain$995/mo Scale$49/mo CoreRedirHub is $946/mo lower

These examples assume one source domain and one managed link per changed path on RedirHub. They are not a universal quote for every migration: if the source URLs span more than 25 independently managed domains, RedirHub domain capacity also needs to be sized.

Our call

RedirectBoss wins the entry-price comparison for a small redirect set.

Once the job becomes a real mapping project rather than a handful of rules, RedirHub's 2,500 included managed links change the economics quickly.

Best fit by buyer job#

Manage no more than 25 simple redirects at the lowest published monthly price

RedirectBoss

Personal is $15/month and already includes HTTPS, API, MCP, QR codes and the main redirect controls.

Move a site with hundreds or thousands of changed-path mappings

RedirHub

Core includes 2,500 managed links for $49/month, while RedirectBoss moves into higher source-URL tiers as mappings increase.

Use a documented OAuth-scoped MCP workflow for redirect operations

RedirectBoss

Its public MCP guide goes unusually deep on authorization scopes, role boundaries, DNS/SSL checks and agent workflows.

Keep domain capacity and path-mapping capacity independent

RedirHub

You can scale the number of domains separately from the managed-link pool instead of buying capacity only by configured source URL.

Need SSO plus team collaboration at published list pricing

RedirHub

RedirHub Pro is $119/month and SSO is a $200/month Pro add-on, for $319/month before any capacity add-ons; RedirectBoss first lists SSO and team management on Growth at $495/month.

Where RedirectBoss is the stronger fit#

RedirectBoss's $15 Personal tier is a genuine advantage for a small redirect estate. It is not a crippled trial plan: the current pricing page includes four redirect status codes, SSL, path and query forwarding, analytics, API access, MCP, QR codes and MFA within that tier.

That is a strong fit for a freelancer, small support team or developer who has a few redirects and does not need a large domain or mapping pool. Paying $49 for 2,500 managed links is not automatically better if you only need 10 or 20 rules.

RedirectBoss also deserves credit for its AI-management story. Its official MCP guide[3] documents OAuth authorization, read/write scopes, role-aware access, DNS and SSL checks, redirect creation and traffic analysis. It explicitly says the MCP server can verify DNS but does not change records at your DNS provider.

Both products support programmatic redirect management, so MCP alone is not a reason to assume one platform is universally better. But if the exact OAuth-scoped workflow RedirectBoss documents matches how your team wants to operate, that is a legitimate reason to choose it.

Where RedirHub's migration economics are stronger#

RedirectBoss counts each unique source URL as one redirect. That is simple to understand, but it also means a migration with 500 changed old paths is a 500-redirect workload.

RedirHub models those changed paths as managed links. Core includes 2,500 managed links plus 25 domains for $49/month. For a migration on one source domain, that means the same 500 source mappings fit inside the base Core allowance rather than requiring a $495 tier.

Calculate your setup

The gap matters even more when one organization owns a mixture of whole-domain redirects and path mappings. RedirHub treats those as separate capacity pools. A whole-domain link consumes domain capacity without consuming a managed link; a changed-path mapping consumes a managed link and uses a domain slot only when the hostname is new.

RedirHub's CSV workflow is also designed around migration work: the import is reviewed before anything is written, shows adds/updates/removals and plan usage, and can handle whole-domain and path links in the same file. RedirectBoss also documents CSV bulk import and explicitly positions it for site migrations[4], so the distinction is not "bulk versus no bulk." It is the capacity model surrounding that bulk work.

Decision

For a migration with many changed URLs, size the actual number of source mappings before choosing a platform.

RedirectBoss is compelling at small counts; RedirHub becomes much more economical at the hundreds-to-thousands scale under the current published prices.

Teams, SSO, and operational controls#

RedirectBoss's published collaboration packaging starts higher in its plan ladder. Growth at $495/month adds SSO using SAML/OAuth and team management. Scale at $995/month adds audit logs, according to the pricing page.

RedirHub Core includes three team members. Pro is $119/month with unlimited team members, and the externally approved SSO add-on is $200/month. That makes the published RedirHub Pro + SSO total $319/month before capacity add-ons.

This is not a claim that the two SSO implementations or enterprise controls are identical. It is a pricing boundary worth checking if team identity is part of the buying job.

Redirect behavior and HTTPS#

There is substantial functional overlap in the basics.

RedirectBoss lists 301, 302, 307 and 308 redirects across its published plans, along with SSL, path forwarding and query forwarding. RedirHub also supports all four redirect types, automatic HTTPS, path forwarding and query forwarding.

For most buyers, those basics will not decide the purchase. The higher-signal questions are how many source mappings you have, how many domains they span, whether collaboration/SSO matters, and whether you prefer RedirectBoss's per-source-URL model or RedirHub's separate domain and managed-link pools.

Frequently asked questions

For a small redirect set, yes. RedirectBoss Personal is $15/month for up to 25 configured source URLs, versus RedirHub Core at $49/month. For larger path-mapping workloads, the answer reverses quickly because RedirHub Core includes 2,500 managed links.

Its pricing FAQ says each unique source URL you configure counts as one redirect. Visitor volume does not increase that count.

Yes. The current pricing page lists all four status codes on Personal, Business, Growth, and Scale. RedirHub also supports all four.

Yes. API access and the MCP server are listed across the published RedirectBoss plans. Its MCP documentation describes OAuth-scoped access for hosts, redirects, DNS/SSL status and analytics.

For a small migration, either can fit and RedirectBoss may have the lower entry price. For hundreds or thousands of changed-path mappings, RedirHub's included managed-link capacity is much more favorable under the current public prices. Compare the actual number of mappings and source domains rather than the headline plan name.

RedirectBoss first lists SSO on Growth at $495/month. RedirHub offers SSO as a $200/month Pro add-on; with the $119 Pro base, the published total is $319/month before capacity add-ons. Evaluate the actual identity and governance requirements, not price alone.
